This calf penny loafer is our rendition of a dressier slip-on. This Italian Baby Calf is a vegetable-tanned leather with a higher sheen. It is very transparent, which allows profound highs and lows. It also means that any natural traits, such as growth marks, are visible. These should not be considered defects but merely the article's natural base.
The raw character and high-shine finish are the beauty of this particular vegetable tannage.
Our penny loafer was created with two things in mind: versatility and comfort. It's the ultimate shoe for travel, given the ability to be paired with a sport coat or t-shirt and almost anything in between. We find ourselves wearing this shoe year-round—sockless with shorts/lightweight fabrics in the summer and with wool socks and trousers throughoutthe winter.
